Everything you need to know about the start and end of your trip, in one place.
We meet at the pick-up point at the agreed time, check the campervan together, take a photo of the odometer and fuel level, sign the contract and walk you through the equipment. In 20-30 minutes you're ready to go.
Your ID or passport and a category B driving licence held for at least 2 years. The named driver on the booking must match the person driving. If several people are travelling, they don't all need to be on the contract — but the driver does.
The exact address is confirmed once the booking is finalised. Pick-up from Lanzarote Airport (ACE) can also be arranged on request, subject to availability, for a 35 € extra.
When you arrive, we go through the campervan's general condition with you: bodywork, interior, kitchen equipment and electrics. We take a photo of the odometer and fuel gauge — the same reference we'll use at return to make sure everything checks out. It's not about distrust, it's about making things clear for both of us from minute one.
We sign the rental agreement at pick-up, covering the trip conditions and the 250 € deposit, which is handled directly with our team.
Before you leave, we go through how the kitchen, auxiliary battery and solar panel, water tank and parking heater work, and answer any questions you have. We'd rather spend a few extra minutes here than have you stuck on your first night.
Return the campervan at the agreed time, with the fuel tank at the same level as pick-up and the grey water tank empty. Check you haven't left anything behind, and message us on WhatsApp as soon as you know if you'll be running late.
The return time is the same as the pick-up time, unless we agree on a different one in advance — for example, the day before — if your flight or plans require it. When we hand over the campervan, we already agree on when we'll see each other for the return.
Plan the return journey with enough margin. We need time to check the campervan together before you leave, so don't leave the drive back to the last minute.
The campervan is handed over with a certain fuel level and must be returned the same way. To keep things clear for both sides, we take a photo of the odometer and fuel gauge at both pick-up and return. If the tank comes back with less fuel than it had, the cost of refuelling is deducted from the 250 € deposit.
The grey water tank must be returned empty. If not, a 25 € charge applies for emptying it.
Message us on WhatsApp as soon as you know you'll be late — the sooner the better. There's a 15-minute grace period on top of the agreed time. Beyond that, a charge proportional to the delay may apply, since the campervan usually has another booking or a scheduled check right after.
If the delay is due to force majeure — a cancelled flight, a breakdown of the campervan itself, a serious traffic incident — let's talk it through and handle it case by case: let us know and we'll find the most reasonable solution for both of us.
When you arrive, we check the campervan together: fuel, general cleanliness, grey water tank and overall condition. The rental agreement is completed and signed at pick-up; at return, you sign a short sign-off confirming everything is in order. If so, the return takes just a few minutes and the 250 € deposit is handled as normal.
If you enjoyed the trip, it helps us enormously if you leave us a review on Yescapa and tag us in your photos if you share them on social media. We're a small project, and every review and every shared photo helps us reach more travellers. Thank you.
